Horns of Plenty are back on the streets, after many months without performances and when even rehearsals have been a struggle!
During the pandemic we were rehearsing (initially in groups of 6!) outdoors in parks and school playgrounds and barns kindly lent to us for the purpose. We are now enjoying playing together in the warm and dry at a new rehearsal venue (see Join us) and are ready once again to bring joyful music to the streets of Oxford.
May Morning is one of the biggest days in the Horns of Plenty calendar, and during the pandemic we did not let it pass uncelebrated.
In 2020 we invited everyone across Oxford to join with us in a city-wide rendition of Somewhere Over the Rainbow more
This year (2021) we worked on an arrangement of Stand By Me, which we played in groups of 6 in parks across the city. more
For Carnival 2020 we recorded a video of Horns of Plenty playing the Skatalites classic, Rockfort Rock, as our contribution for the live-streamed Cowley Road Carnival, 5th July 2020 more
