Horns of Plenty

Oxford's community street band

Greeting a new dawn – May Morning 2021

Horns of Plenty celebrated May Morning, the coming of Spring, and the prospect of a return to normal social (and musical) life, with an arrangement of Ben King’s classic song Stand by Me, played in parks across Oxford.

Observing Covid precautions, we rehearsed in groups of 6, in Florence Park bandstand, Headington Hill Park and Botley Road Recreation Ground, where we received an enthusiastic welcome from passers-by.

May Morning 2021

We are now looking forward to rehearsing as a band, to ready tunes, old and new, from all over the world, to play in the streets and festivities of Oxford
